Confirmation | The European Health Literacy Conference

It is a pleasure to confirm your participation in the European Health Literacy Conference in Brussels 22-23 November 2011.

Due to overwhelming interest, we are proud to announce that we have reached a maximum of 175 participants from more than 15 countries.

We are excited to share the results of the European Health Literacy Survey at the conference and we look forward to discuss with you and the distinguished speakers the scope of implications and to develop strategies for a way forward on the advancement of health literacy in Europe.

We have made a short electronic version of the health literacy survey questionnaire for the conference purpose and we hope  you will answer the questions and get an idea of what the survey is about. Please click here.  


Organizational partners

The conference is partly supported by MSD and organized in cooperation with Hill & Knowlton. Data collection for the European Health Literacy Survey was conducted by TNS Opinion on behalf of the HLS-EU consortium. MSD Austria will support additional regional data analysis of the Austrian part of the European Health Literacy Survey.

The venue

The two-day conference takes place in the Museum of Natural Science next to the European Parliament in Brussels close to Place Luxembourg, in the middle of the European Quarter. Arrival from the airport with bus no. 12 (“Place Luxembourg”) or bus no. 21 (“Place Schuman”) with a walk of 20 minutes from there). The nearest Metro Station is Trône, the nearest railway station is Brussels-Luxembourg.
